Interface tour
The studio is a single screen: a slim header, a canvas in the middle, a side panel on the right and, in Simulate, a dock under the canvas. Controls sit next to what they act on.
The header
The 52 px bar at the top holds everything that concerns the whole project.

The project menu
Click the project name to open it; Esc or a click outside closes it.
- New scenario: starts from an empty canvas. You are asked before unsaved changes are discarded.
- Open project: lists the projects saved in your private cloud space.
- Import project: loads a
.simfile or a legacy JSON layout from your computer. - Export project: downloads a copy of the current project as
.sim. - Save as: creates a new
.simfile without overwriting the current one. - Language and Theme (System, Light, Dark): browser preferences. They never change the project and never restart the simulation.
- The footer shows the account you are signed in with and a Sign out button.
The canvas
The canvas shows the layout in real coordinates (millimetres). It is shared by Draw and Simulate, so the view you frame while drawing is the view you watch while simulating.

The toolbar above the canvas holds the view controls: zoom out, the screen scale readout (for example 1 px ≈ 1 cm, the real distance one screen pixel represents), zoom in, Fit (frames all paths) and Origin (centres the point 0, 0). Panning and zooming never modify the project, never add history steps and never restart the simulation.
Status bar and legend
In Draw, a status bar under the canvas shows the cursor's X/Y coordinates in millimetres. In both workspaces a collapsible Legend in the bottom-left corner explains path colours, station symbols and, in Simulate, vehicle and station activity colours. Its open state is remembered.
The side panel
The panel on the right changes with the workspace. Its tabs keep their content when you switch between them, so a half-edited property or a running CAD import is never lost.

The panel toggle collapses the side panel to a narrow strip to give the canvas more room. On narrow windows the panel moves under the canvas.
The bottom dock (Simulate)
In Simulate a dock under the canvas holds wide tables. Its tabs show a live count:
- Active: missions in progress and returns to chargers, with AGV, activity, from → to, phase, waiting reason and time.
- Pending: queued orders and why they are waiting.
- Run comparison: one row per finished run. See Run comparison.
The dock can be collapsed with its toggle button; the choice is remembered in the browser.
Expanded simulation view
In Simulate, the expand button in the view controls enlarges the simulation to the whole browser tab. Press Esc or the same button to restore the previous arrangement.
Notices and errors
Messages float at the bottom centre of the screen and never push the layout around. Confirmations, such as a completed save, disappear by themselves; errors stay until you close them. When a run finishes, a notice summarises it and offers two shortcuts: Results and Comparison. If a run could not be saved in the archive, a notice shows Runs awaiting save with Retry and Run archive.
Preferences that are not project data
Some choices belong to your browser, not to the project. They are remembered locally and never mark the project as modified:
- language and theme;
- open or closed state of the legend and the dock;
- zoom, pan, simulation speed, run duration and heatmap selection.
In the light theme, paths, stations, vehicles and heatmaps use darker variants of the same colours, and CAD backgrounds are displayed with inverted lightness. The stored drawing and annotation colours are never rewritten.
